Makhadzi announces Emperors Palace show and moves album to 27 November
Makhadzi will perform in Kempton Park on 29 November, with her new album now due two days earlier, as a build-up to her Christmas Eve stadium show.
Makhadzi is bringing her Road2 One Woman Show to Gauteng on Sunday, 29 November 2026, according to Briefly News. The concert will take place at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, in the Centre Court venue, and is presented jointly by Makhadzi Entertainment and Thikho Events Management.
New album date pushed back
Makhadzi Entertainment has changed the launch date of her upcoming album. It was first planned for 13 November, but will now come out on 27 November. That puts the release just two days ahead of the Kempton Park performance.
The new project follows Sesi Ka Rose, which took the traditional music album award at this year’s South African Music Awards. Her catalogue also includes popular songs such as “Matorokisi” and “Ghanama”.
A warm-up for Polokwane
The Gauteng date is a lead-in to a much bigger occasion. On 24 December, Makhadzi will perform at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, a show that also marks her 30th birthday.
Thikho Events Management founder Richard M. Ramudzuli said the Sunday slot was chosen on purpose. In his words, it gives Gauteng fans an evening of their own before the festive-season show in Limpopo. He also said that building a concert around a single artist’s body of work lets audiences see how her earlier songs fit into a larger story.
The One Woman Show format began in Botswana in 2022. Makhadzi staged it at Peter Mokaba Stadium in 2024, with Sho Madjozi, DJ Tira and Nkosazana Daughter on the bill. In 2024 she also received a BET Viewers’ Choice Award for Best New International Act.
