South Africa voted in the 2026 Local Government Elections on Wednesday, 4 November. This page tracks the count with the latest official figures from the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC), updated every three hours until counting is complete. Newest update first.
How to read these numbers: this was a local election, so there is no national winner. Each municipal council is decided separately. The “national vote share” below is every party’s combined support across all councils. All results are provisional until the IEC declares them.
