Job Advert Summary
Rand Water is looking for a candidate to maintain good housekeeping in engine rooms, control rooms, battery rooms, toilets, and switchgear rooms. To report dangerous acts and/or working conditions, as well as any abnormality, to his or her shift supervisor
Minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (N3 certificate).
- Water Treatment Learnership will provide an advantage.
- One year of cleaning experience will be advantageous.
Primary Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness on all plants.
- Clean the section of plant assigned to him.
- Report any risky circumstances or acts.
- Assist the Process Controller in putting pumps on/off load.
- Open or close the suction and delivery valves.
- Take water samples.
- Manual operation of pipeline isolating valves.
- Unloading the chlorine drum.
- Unloading of Ammonia
- Related Cleaning experience will be advantageous.
Knowledge:
- Experiential knowledge of water purification will be beneficial.
- On-the-job training is provided.
Skills:
