Job Description

EUM, part of the TWK Group, has the following vacancy available: Credit Controller at Centurion, Gauteng.

Job Summary
This role involves controlling the debtor book through the effective collection of premiums, reconciliation of accounts, and management of client and broker relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow, minimising bad debt, and ensuring accurate financial records within the insurance environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor and manage the collection of premiums from clients, brokers, and business partners
• Follow up on overdue accounts and ensure payments are received within agreed terms
• Allocate payments accurately and maintain up-to-date account records
• Perform debtor reconciliations and investigate account discrepancies
• Prepare reports on outstanding debt, ageing analyses, and collection performance
• Communicate with clients and brokers regarding account queries, arrears, and cancellations
• Identify high-risk accounts and escalate potential bad debts
• Ensure compliance with internal credit control policies and procedures
• Assist with process improvements and support system upgrades where required
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to resolve account-related matters

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• Diploma or certificate in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (advantageous)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit control or debtors management
• Experience within the insurance or financial services industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial/accounting systems
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Valid Driver’s license (Code 08)
