About the Role
As a Workshop Foreman, you will oversee daily operations within a technical workshop, ensuring the effective management of production schedules, quality control, and team performance. This role focuses on coordinating resources and personnel to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities
– Lead and supervise workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
– Develop and review production schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet project goals.
– Monitor quality control procedures to ensure that finished products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
– Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skills development.
– Conduct regular inspections of tools, equipment, and workstations to ensure safety and compliance with operational standards.
– Collaborate with other departments to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.
– Maintain accurate records of production metrics, reporting on performance and areas for improvement.
– Implement and uphold health and safety protocols to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements
– Proven experience in a supervisory role within a technical workshop or similar environment.
– Strong understanding of workshop processes, machinery, and safety regulations.
– Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a diverse team.
– Solid problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
– Proficient in maintaining records and reporting on production metrics.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an aptitude for training and development.

Preferred Qualifications
– Certification in management or a related technical field will be advantageous.
– Experience with specific machinery relevant to the workshop’s focus is highly desirable.
– Familiarity with project management software and tools.
– Previous experience in a similar industry is a plus.
