Client Service Officer: Public Employment Services

SALARY : R269 499 per annum
CENTRE : Komani Labour Centre, Eastern Cape

The minimum requirement:
Matric/Grade 12 or any equivalent national qualification.
A driver’s license that is still valid will be an additional advantage.
Understanding:
Policies, procedures, and guidelines of the department, legislation and regulations pertaining to labor, the Employment Services Act, the Public Service Act and regulations, and the principles of Batho Pele come to mind.
Skills:
Include the ability to interpret legislation, computer literacy, communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, listening, telephone etiquette, interviewing skills, and the ability to solve problems.
DUTIES:
Offer services for the registration of job-seekers on the ESSA platform.
Providing a registration service for employment and educational opportunities on the ESSA platform. Candidates for employment should be referred to employment counseling services.
Offer administrative assistance to individuals who are looking for work in order to set them up with opportunities for employment and education.
You are responsible for performing general administrative tasks and taking part in advocacy sessions as and when they are required.
