Kane Keid teases new Xowié collaboration after ‘Take Time’
Rapper Kane Keid has thanked listeners for backing his single 'Take Time' and says a new song with R&B singer Xowié is due this week.
Kane Keid has said a new song with R&B singer Xowié will be released this week, shortly after thanking fans for the warm reception to his latest single, “Take Time”. SA Hip Hop Mag reported the news on 3 November 2026.
Thanks to listeners on Instagram
The Thembisa-born rapper and storyteller shared a reel on Instagram to show appreciation for the support the song has received. In the same post, he revealed that another collaboration is close. “Got something new dropping with @xowieofficial this week,” he wrote.
The source does not give a title or an exact release date for the Xowié track. It says only that the song is expected to arrive later this week.
About ‘Take Time’
“Take Time” came out on 9 October 2026 and features Sino Msolo and Ficz. It forms part of the build-up to Keid’s SON OF SOiL project. According to SA Hip Hop Mag, the track is a laid-back, melodic release in which Keid pulls back and puts melody, emotion and songwriting first.
An official music video accompanies the single. Aimée Lokota directed it and Siyabonga Mgodlola was behind the camera as cinematographer. The publication says the visuals suit the song’s softer, more intimate mood.
A second link-up with Xowié
The two artists have worked together before. Their earlier song, “Brown Sugar”, was a neo-soul record that drew on 90s-style R&B sounds, and SA Hip Hop Mag says it showed a natural chemistry between them. That history is why the new announcement has drawn interest.
Keid’s debut album is also said to be on the horizon, although the source gives no title, date or tracklist for it.
