Job Advert Summary Responsible for supporting the operation of downstream packaging equipment in a bulk cheese production factory. The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring product quality, capturing production data, and assisting with routine maintenance. The Attendant ensures compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of the production line. Works shifts as required and contributes to achieving production targets and quality standards.
Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
  • Experience in Bulk cheese factory advantageous
  • Pass Diagnostic competency assessment
  • Business English: Fluent
  • 2-5yrs relevant experience (FMCG/Food Production) in applying job related concepts, techniques, and processes at the required level
  • Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities
Operate, monitor and control allocated downstream packaging equipment and activities on the production line.

  • Prepare, start up, monitor & maintain and shutdown packaging equipment within the scope of authority
  • Monitor critical parameters and solve problems
  • Capture data (control sheets)
  • Prepare the work area for maintenance and reinstate after maintenance is complete
  • Issue job cards for non-scheduled maintenance
  • Complete daily and weekly production maintenance schedules
  • Sample and test packaging quality
  • Monitor critical parameters and solve problems
  • Capture data (control sheets)
  • Maintain safety, health and environmental standards and good manufacturing practices
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Ensure downstream plant cleanliness
