Regarding the Function
Within our Procurement Department, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant who is someone who thrives on detail, provides support for our supply chain with precision, and strengthens the way that we serve our internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Your role will be extremely important in the management of administrative processes that ensure the smooth operation of our procurement function, ensuring that accuracy, compliance, and efficiency are maintained on a daily basis.
Our Distribution Centre in Bethlehem will serve as the venue for the position’s primary location.
Main Duties and Obligations
High standards should be maintained in all administration that is related to procurement.
Making, updating, and maintaining price lists and supplier code lists are all important tasks.
In order to guarantee smooth communication, it is important to collaborate closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
Take charge of the processes involved in billing and reconcile the accounts.
The minimum and maximum stock levels should be monitored and maintained in order to guarantee availability.
As a means of providing support for decision-making, analyses of supplier data should be performed.
Deal with and process claims from both internal branches and customers from outside the organization.
Be proactive in identifying risks and contributing to the reduction of those risks.
As required, provide assistance to the procurement team with other administrative responsibilities.
Requirements :
Either a grade 12 or a NQF4 qualification.
It is advantageous to have previous experience in the administration of procurement.
Excel and Microsoft Word are two programs that you are proficient in using.
Work that is approached with meticulousness, accuracy, and thoroughness.
Possessing a proactive mindset means constantly looking for ways to improve processes and add value.
