Uncle Waffles to join Megan Thee Stallion at Vegas Hottieween
South African amapiano DJ Uncle Waffles has been named special guest at Megan Thee Stallion's circus-themed Hottieween party in Las Vegas this Friday.
Amapiano star Uncle Waffles is heading to Las Vegas to share a bill with US rapper Megan Thee Stallion. According to IOL, the DJ has been named special guest at this year’s Hottieween, Megan’s yearly Halloween party.
The event takes place on 30 October at Zouk Nightclub. This year’s theme is a circus, with spooky costumes, music and dancing on the programme.
What the artists have said
Megan announced the line-up on social media, telling her fans that the circus was almost there and that Hottieween was happening this Friday with Uncle Waffles as special guest. She also urged followers to grab last-minute tickets.
Uncle Waffles, whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane, shared the post on X and replied, “We shutting down Vegas with my Queeen”, adding emojis.
For the 2026 edition, Megan has teamed up with Cirque du Soleil to build the circus atmosphere. Guests can also expect drinks from her Chicas Divertidas tequila brand.
Part of the money from ticket sales will go to the Pete & Thomas Foundation. Megan started the non-profit in 2022 to honour her late parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas.
A growing global footprint
The Las Vegas booking adds to a run of international moments for the DJ. IOL notes that she played an after-party following the 2023 Met Gala in New York, where Ayra Starr, Michaela Coel and Naomi Campbell were among the personalities present.
She was also a guest at Drake’s invitation-only NOCTA Manor event in New York, together with fellow South African producer and DJ Kelvin Momo.
Her résumé further includes a set at Coachella in California, as well as appearances at major fashion events such as Louis Vuitton’s menswear presentations in Paris.
Hottieween has become a regular fixture for Megan’s fans, who look forward to her elaborate Halloween outfits and themed celebrations. With Uncle Waffles on the line-up, the night brings together one of hip-hop’s biggest names and one of amapiano’s most recognisable faces.
What it means for fans
The party is being held in Las Vegas, so it is mainly a moment for those who can attend in person. Megan has said last-minute tickets are still available, and the date to remember is this Friday, 30 October. For South African music fans at home, it is another sign of how far amapiano is travelling on the global stage.
