Liema Pantsi’s fans surprise her with a new Renault Kiger
Supporters of reality star Liema Pantsi pooled their money to give her a white Renault Kiger SUV as a birthday and homecoming present.
Fans of reality television personality Liema Pantsi have given her a brand-new white Renault Kiger SUV, a surprise that left her in tears, according to The Citizen.
A birthday and homecoming present
The vehicle was presented as a joint birthday and homecoming gift. It came from her devoted supporters, who go by the name the Lillies, or Liemies. Pantsi won the All Stars season of Big Brother Mzansi.
Photos and videos of the surprise have been shared widely online. They show the SUV with a huge pink ribbon across the bonnet and black balloons around it. The moment played out during a live TikTok stream, where Pantsi was seen crying and laughing as she took it in. She also joked that “Uber officially lost a customer today”.
Afterwards she wrote on social media: “I don’t even know where to begin.” She said she would never take for granted being loved so sincerely, and that her supporters had come together to buy her the car. She thanked them for carrying her dreams, celebrating her wins and believing in her, and she prayed that God would bless each of them.
Not the first time her followers have rallied
This is not the first time the fan group has put money behind her. Reports say they previously raised more than R600 000 in a crowdfunding drive, and a further R100 000 to pay for a birthday celebration.
Those contributions have reportedly been linked to her music career and her perfume business. The car now adds to that history of support, and shows how a fan community can carry its influence well beyond the television screen.
The reaction online was excited, with many supporters describing the moment as proof of the close bond she has built with her followers. Gifts and fundraising by fans have become a familiar part of celebrity culture, particularly for reality show contestants whose supporters keep backing them once the cameras stop rolling.
For Pantsi, the SUV is clearly about more than transport. It is a sign of the community that has stood behind her since she first entered the Big Brother house.
