Job Description

Job Title: Security Fleet Controller

Fidelity Security Services is seeking highly skilled Security Fleet Controllers to join our team.  This critical role combines high-level security command with line-haul logistics oversight from our central fleet station. Main purpose will be to oversee the secure dispatch and real-time tracking of bulk cargo vehicles, utilizing advanced security technology and integrated systems to protect assets, mitigate risks, and maximize operational throughput.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
  • Valid PSIRA Grade A/B Registration (mandatory).
  • Control Room Certification will be advantageous.
  • Security Risk Management qualifications will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in:
    • Security Control Rooms.
    • Fleet Tracking and Monitoring.
    • Line-haul Logistics Operations.
    • Bulk Cargo Dispatch Environments.
    • Security Incident & Response Management.

Technical Requirements

Proven operational experience with:

  • CCTV and Surveillance Systems.
  • GPS Vehicle Tracking Systems.
  • Microsoft Office.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • High attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Control Room Operations

  • Maintain continuous monitoring of fleet, security, and operational systems.
  • Conduct routine system functionality checks across CiiMS, IRIS, Crystal, HikCentral, and Avigilon.
  • Perform virtual patrols of facilities, perimeter fences, access points, and high-risk zones using CCTV and PTZ camera systems.
  • Ensure all control room systems remain operational and functioning effectively.

Fleet Tracking & Monitoring

  • Monitor fleet movements and line-haul vehicles in real time.
  • Ensure route adherence and investigate route deviations.
  • Identify unauthorized stops, delays, or security concerns.
  • Respond immediately to geofence breaches, panic signals, and route anomalies.
  • Maintain visibility of vehicle movements from dispatch to destination.

Surveillance & Security Monitoring

  • Monitor live CCTV feeds, alarms, and perimeter security systems.
  • Review CCTV footage and conduct investigations when required.
  • Monitor high-risk areas and identify suspicious activity or security breaches.
  • Detect, manage, and escalate incidents in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate incident records within designated systems.

Cargo Dispatch & Security

  • Oversee the secure release and dispatch of cargo vehicles.
  • Verify cargo seal integrity and dispatch documentation.
  • Ensure that vehicle, cargo, and security compliance checks are completed before departure.
  • Support asset protection initiatives and cargo security controls throughout the transport cycle.

Access Control & Verification

  • Verify driver, contractor, and visitor credentials using approved biometric and security systems.
  • Manage access control procedures relating to fleet dispatch operations.
  • Ensure compliance with site and client security requirements.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Complete daily operational, security, and fleet reports.
  • Maintain accurate incident records and tracking logs.
  • Manage shift handovers and communicate outstanding issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all company SOPs, security policies, and client requirements.
  • Support operational audits and investigations where required.

  • Attendance, reliability, and adherence to operational procedures.
