About the role
The Compliance Officer (Security) is responsible for overseeing security operations within the region, ensuring that security personnel adhere to company policies, procedures, operational standards and applicable security industry regulations.
The role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and operational efficiency, while ensuring that security operations and client relationships are managed effectively.
The Compliance Officer (Security) will report directly to the Key Accounts Manager.

Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 – certified copy required.
- PSIRA Grade A registration – mandatory.
- Security Management Qualification will be advantageous.
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence – required.
- Firearm competency (Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle).
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 3–5 years’ experience within the security industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the security industry.
- 2–3 years’ experience in client liaison and relationship management.
- Proven knowledge of security industry regulations, operational requirements and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in monitoring staff compliance and security operations.
- Experience in conducting basic on-site risk assessments.
- Experience in responding to security incidents and conducting preliminary investigations.
- Solid computer proficiency, including the use of office software and security management systems.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong client service and relationship management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high service and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
- Willingness and flexibility to work night shifts when required.
What you will be doing
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures, Disciplinary Code of Conduct and operational standards.
- Enforce and uphold the Excellerate Code of Conduct, values and standards across security operations.
- Monitor security personnel on-site to ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, code of conduct and service standards.
- Conduct on-site inductions and training for new and existing security officers to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively and to the required standard.
- Conduct basic on-site risk assessments to identify potential security risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Act as the first responder to security incidents, conduct preliminary investigations and manage incidents to ensure minimal disruption and effective resolution.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure that client needs and concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Command Centre to ensure proper site coverage and effective operational staffing.
- Assist with the coordination and approval of leave requests and operational staffing schedules.
- Motivate and manage security personnel on-site to maintain high levels of performance and ensure consistent delivery of quality security services.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation relating to security operations and compliance.
- Ensure that security personnel comply with applicable security industry regulations and operational requirements.
- Provide effective communication, guidance and support to security personnel, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the applicable Site Job Description.
- Enforce and adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and operational standards.
- Maintain professional communication when interacting with employees, clients and other stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required in support of effective security operations.
