Touchline to join SuperSport Bias Commentary for Soweto Derby

Rapper Touchline will call the Soweto Derby as a Pirates supporter on SuperSport's Bias Commentary option, alongside Seekay_sa and Mapensela11.

Rapper Touchline is swapping the stands for a microphone this weekend. According to SA Hip Hop Mag, the Tembisa-born artist has been lined up to commentate on the Soweto Derby as part of SuperSport’s Bias Commentary offering, speaking for Orlando Pirates supporters.

Touchline announced the news himself on Instagram. He wrote that he would be part of the official Bias Commentary pairing for the derby and added that he was backing Pirates. He also posted a confident message about the match, saying: “Bakhona abazokhala! Ayihlangane khona!”

Who is on the commentary team

He will work alongside Seekay_sa on the Bias Commentary feed. Reggie Ndlovu, who goes by Mapensela11, is also part of the coverage. The report describes Ndlovu as an experienced commentator, and says his involvement brings some seasoned know-how to the line-up.

Bias Commentary is designed for supporters who would rather hear the match called by people openly cheering for their side. The idea is that fans get a more partisan, entertaining take than a standard broadcast offers.

Match details and how to watch

Orlando Pirates will meet Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 15:30. The fixture is one of the most closely followed in South African football, and the rivalry between the clubs is a big part of its appeal.

Touchline has long been open about supporting the Buccaneers, and the report says he has never hidden where his loyalties lie. For him, the assignment combines football with entertainment, two interests that have both shaped his public profile.

If you want to hear the derby with the Bias Commentary team, here is what to do:

  • Tune in to SuperSport Channel 202.
  • Select Language Option 4 on your decoder or remote.
  • Be ready before the 15:30 kick-off on Saturday, 31 October.

Supporters of Pirates can expect a one-sided but lively call, while neutral viewers and Chiefs fans may prefer the regular commentary feed. Either way, Touchline’s debut in the booth adds a fresh angle to a match that already draws huge attention.
