Job Advert Summary
This role is centered on driving parts sales growth by managing key accounts, supporting the dealer network, and expanding into new customer bases. It requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, canvassing new clients, and promoting OE and TRP parts to boost wholesale and retail sales. The position involves negotiating and closing deals within delegated authority, while actively marketing new products and services at dealerships and panel shops. A critical aspect is monitoring market trends, gathering customer insights, and aligning offerings to meet evolving demands. Additionally, the role leverages DAF tools to provide optimal advice, upsell parts, and ensure targets are consistently achieved and exceeded.

Minimum Requirements
Matric or Eqv with Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

3–5 years in parts sales, inventory management, or dealer network support, preferably in automotive or industrial sectors.

Strong ERP/EDP system knowledge (e.g., Medius, DAF tools), proficiency in MS Excel, and ability to manage purchase orders, invoices, and freight tracking.

Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, negotiate within delegated authority, and promote parts/products effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed parts targets per BTS and Paccar Parts targets.
Plan, manage and visit identified Key Accounts and dealer network.
Visit existing customers with the aim to improve our wholesale and increase parts purchasing and achieving and exceeding Babcock targets.
Canvas new customers and promote OE and TRP all makes parts basket to boost retail sales and increasing our stock turns.
Developing and maintaining relationships with our customers and expanding into fleets not dealing directly with Babcock dealerships.
Gathering first hand information on what customers require and support ISS and admin accordingly to expand range.
Authority to negotiate and close deals within LOA.
Promote and market new products, services at BTS dealerships and panel shops.
Upselling of all products (new/used) and services on offer through Babcock dealerships.
Early identification of market trends and pricing and advising ISS & Admin on opportunities to stay aligned with markets.
Provide customers with optimal advise and upselling on DAF basket of parts utilising all DAF tools like,

DAF Info Hub (all make vehicles)
Parts Promo Stores
