Full job description
- To support the team to meet targets, due dates and maintain quality standards in all that they do by understanding the objectives and targets for projects
- To plan and coordinate the steps and deadlines required to successfully achieve the targets and communicating the priorities and expectations to each team member as required
- To facilitate the execution of tasks and activities required by the team, by providing the necessary resources, tools and training required to perform tasks effectively, tracking and monitoring progress, providing support where needed and rectifying deviations from quality standards as required
- To support the team in completing their tasks and activities in line with budgets by tracking expenditure against budgets and regularly communicating the budget status, negotiating favourable terms and prices with suppliers where possible
- To identify cost saving opportunities, maintain accurate financial records and documentation and processing invoices accurately and on time, as required
- To support operational efficiency by inspecting infrastructure, equipment and tools, identifying damage, malfunction or wear, creating a schedule and maintaining a log for preventative maintenance or repairs and providing training on proper use and care of equipment and tools as required
- To minimise potential challenges and negative impact on site by identifying potential hazards and safety concerns through regular site inspections, monitoring condition of equipment and changes in site environment, understanding emergency response plans and actions and keeping the team informed of these as required
- To contribute towards effective warehouse reporting by understanding the reporting needs and requirements, coordinating the creation and distribution of reporting templates and reports, capturing the reports on the system and filing reports according to process, monthly and as required
- To comply with policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of policies, participating in training sessions and sourcing answers to any queries daily and as required
- To comply with processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of processes, implementing the correct process and addressing any areas of concern daily
- To implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, implementing and reviewing within deadline or as per process.
- To comply with SHE standards, processes and practices by maintaining knowledge and expertise in SHE and always complying with requirements
- To maintain stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, providing input and feedback actions, receiving feedback and contributions and collaborating as required
- To contribute to the team by participating in events, identifying areas of support required within the team and providing the required support, engaging with the team and being an active member of the team daily
- MS Office software and SAP
- Shift / Overtime: As required
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- Magazine Master Certification
- Post Matric Qualification / National Diploma
