Job Advert Summary

Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock records within the ERP system (SAP WMS). Capture all stock movements including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments. Ensure timely posting of PGIs, production confirmations, and dispatch transactions. Monitor system errors, blocked documents, and unposted transactions. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and participate in full stocktakes and year-end audits. Investigate stock variances, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records. Track slow-moving, obsolete, and blocked stock. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory accuracy and performance reports. Maintain full traceability documentation, including batch numbers, lot codes, COAs, and delivery notes. Provide inventory insights to Supply Chain and Finance. Compliance, Governance & Process Control Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and audit requirements. Maintain accurate inventory master data where applicable (UoM, material codes, storage locations). Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing inventory discrepancies. Uphold safety standards across warehouse and cold store environments. Document Control Collate and forward all relevant documentation to accounts for invoicing. Reconcile despatched delivery notes to SAP and the weighbridge system. Receive and control all despatched delivery notes from security. Investigate and trace missing or incomplete documentation. Maintain document integrity for audit and traceability purposes. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Inventory accuracy percentage (target >98%). Timeliness and accuracy of transaction postings. Number and value of stock variances. GRN and documentation turnaround times. Audit compliance results. Zero unresolved or overdue discrepancies. Cycle count completion rate. Health & Safety Perform all duties in a safe manner at all times. Report unsafe equipment or conditions to the Controller. Ensure compliance with ISO 9002, ISO 14001, and ISO 18000 standards. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment according to defined standards.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 – Required
  • National Diploma in Logistics Management – Required.
  • 2–3 years’ operational experience in a manufacturing environment – Required

Knowledge & Technical Skills

    • Good Manufacturing Practices (Intermediate)
    • Inventory Management (Intermediate)
    • Customer Service Principles (Intermediate)
    • Knowledge of Shunting and Rail Safety Regulations (Intermediate)
    • SAP WMS and inventory tracking systems (Intermediate)
    • MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred) – Intermediate
