Requirements :
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in driving/messenger services, or a Grade 12 qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in driving/messenger services. A Valid code 10 (EC1) driver’s license with a valid PDP (attach a certified copy of PDP). Knowledge of key transport regulations in South Africa. Be reliable and punctual. Must be prepared to work day shift and night shift, weekends, and Public holidays. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Duties :
- Responsible for the safe and legal operation of the state vehicles. Transport Patients and Staff to different destinations. Deliver and collect official documents and stock when requested. Deliver stock internally and externally. Reporting of incidents, inspection of vehicles and taking vehicles for repair and maintenance. Responsible for handling of car keys, fuel cards, fuel receipts, vehicle operating tag and logbook. Knowledge and compliance with the National Transport Regulations of South Africa. Responsible for the completion of the logbook and transport request form fully and accurately. Carry any lawful instruction of the Transport Officer with regard to transport-related matters.
