Job Overview As a Cleaner, you will be tasked with performing cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Your role involves following cleaning protocols, using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, and adhering to health and safety regulations. We require Male cleaners to help the Maintenance guy when needed.

Minimum Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate..
  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services and general maintenance knowledge will help.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality in attendance and performance.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Cleaning

  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, floors, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, dust, and debris.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
  • Dust furniture, shelves, and other surfaces to remove dirt and allergens.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions or damage.
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Collaborate with other cleaning staff to ensure consistent and efficient cleaning operations.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, tenants, or occupants.

General Maintenance

  • Assist Maintenance with general Maintenance and preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Assist with setting up workspaces, moving furniture, and preparing areas for events or projects.
