Job Advert Summary

To support the Claims Division by driving risk mitigation initiatives to contribute towards claims reduction
through translation of data into insights that strengthen mitigation within claims, contribute towards initiatives
implementation. The role will also provide administrative support on risk mitigation initiatives ensuring
adherence to relevant policies and procedures -warning mechanisms, and claims loss reduction strategies
related claims and systemic risk drivers.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification within the following disciplines preferable – Diploma or Degree in
    Risk management, Sociology, Political Science, Social Science or similar

Experience

  • No post qualification experience required

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas and Tasks

  • Claims Risk Mitigation Support
    • Monitor and synthesise social, community, and political indicators (e.g. protest dynamics, service delivery pressures, governance stressors) relevant to Sasria’s claims exposure
    • Assist in analysing various data sources to identify patterns, trends, and risk concentrations linked to unrest, service delivery failures, and political
      instability.
    • Support the assessment of risk mitigation initiatives by linking interventions to claims frequency, severity, and loss trends in targeted areas.
    • Contribute to claims risk mitigation reports and dashboards used for internal decision making and governance forums-making and governance

  • Project Management and administrative Support
    • Provide project management and administrative support to risk mitigation initiatives, including coordinating meetings, maintaining project plans, action lists, stakeholder mapping and engagement plans.
    • Track implementation progress against agreed deliverables and escalate deviations for management attention.
    • Support coordination across internal and external stakeholders to enable integrated execution of mitigation initiatives.
    • Maintain organised records of risk mitigation initiatives, stakeholder engagements, and project artefacts in line with policies and procedures
    • Support general operational effectiveness and ensure adherence to related policies and procedures.
  • Financial
    • Monitor the budget and ensure spend is in line with the approved budget
    • Ensure correct invoices are submitted and payments are made timeously
    • Obtain the budget status monthly and ensure transfer of funds as and when required to support committed initiatives
  • Ad hoc duties
    • Coordinate Risk Mitigation events – Internally and externally
    • Arrange travel for the Risk Mitigation department
    • Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager
