R 307 632 to R 421 968 – Basic salary per annum (plus benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or NQF4
  • 1 year work experience in similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Receive and handle incoming calls on the emergency switch board and radio communication.
  • Operation and utilization of computer aided dispatch system that incorporates voice, electronic and data means
  • Use standard emergency communication operational procedures
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs of all emergency and non-emergency calls and departmental fleet and personnel movement
  • Operate and monitor all non-verbal communications systems, including linked direct alarm systems and surveillance systems within the centre in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Perform critical incident management operational level task
  • Perform emergency communication related administrative duties
  • Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements
  • Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources
  • Support the instituting of Customer Service Orientation
  • Support the instituting of people and productivity management
