Description of the Job
In order to assist customer service at the point of sale and guarantee a top-notch shopping experience, Dis-Chem Pharmacies needs a Cosmetic Cashier for their Fourways Mall Store in Gauteng.
Keep track of consumer transactions on the Dis-Chem operating system and guarantee efficient merchandising of Dis-Chem beauty and cosmetics by providing exceptional and reliable customer service.
Requirements :
Matric/Grade 12
At least six months of experience working as a cashier or in operations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Good numerical abilities

Job Description:
To ensure smooth transactions, customers at the cosmetic till point are your top priority.
You must help with cosmetic product merchandising if there are no consumers to serve at the cosmetic till points.
Inform the manager of any severe and unresolved consumer concerns.
Serve clients and uphold a high standard of customer service and compassion.
Build a business relationship with clients.
Maintain the appearance and personal hygiene of coworkers.
Implement and oversee the Dis-Chem five-star communication guidelines.
Ask the Cosmetic Consultant any questions you may have about cosmetic sales.
Take accountability for precise cash flow.
Make sure a supervisor approves and signs off on any line voids and price adjustments.
When permitted, exchange products for customers and accept returns from them.
Complete all transactions and accept and process all payments, including cash, cards, coupons, vouchers, and any forms of payment that Dis-Chem does not accept.
Respond to inquiries about the store’s cosmetics as they are made.
Handle all loyalty cards, including those from our accelerator partners (E-Bucks, ABSA Rewards, Momentum Multiply, Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, and Legacy Lifestyle).
Help with merchandising tasks at the cosmetic till point while there are no consumers to serve:
Make certain that the window area and the rest of the store are kept to a high standard of cleanliness, merchandising, and displays.
Make sure the displays are presented in an appealing way.
Verify that every product has the appropriate price and label.
Follow the guidelines for stock layout.
Make sure the cosmetics area’s merchandising displays are stocked and facing up.
Please ensure the appropriate shelf price takers are displayed.
Make that the drop safe is filled with cash in accordance with Dis-Chem’s regular operating standards.
Keep an eye out and confirm every payment via the Dis-Chem verification process.
Respect the security rules and procedures of Dis-Chem.
Make sure that only you can use your code and password, that it is secure, and that it is changed on a regular basis.
Make sure that all outgoing inventory is scanned and paid for.
Make sure that every penny is maintained within the till in a safe and secure manner.
Keep daily takings private and only talk about them with management.
Keep an eye out for questionable activity and notify management of it.
Until you put them in the drop safe, keep all of your daily takings—cash, checks, vouchers, card slips, line voids, and unfinished dockets—in the till drawer.
Housekeeping needs to follow Dis-Chem guidelines.
