This role focuses on managing inventory planning and distribution to ensure dealers have the right parts available to meet customer needs. It involves maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, dealers, and internal teams while ensuring accuracy in purchase orders, invoices, and freight processes. The position supports the dealer network with part requests, pricing, cross-referencing, and promotional activities to drive sales and improve visibility. A key responsibility is monitoring service-level targets and compliance with Paccar and DAF requirements, while optimizing stock transfers and tracking shipments. Additionally, the role identifies opportunities from sales trends to enhance customer satisfaction and consistently achieve parts sales targets.
Minimum Requirements
Matric or Eqv with A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3–5 years in inventory management, parts distribution, or dealer network support, ideally within automotive or industrial sectors.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Medius, EDP), inventory tracking tools, and strong MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor service levels, track shipments, and identify sales opportunities based on trends.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills to work effectively with suppliers, dealers, and internal teams.Ma
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide efficient and adequate stock planning and tracking of inventory to respective dealers to fulfil customer requirements.
Maintain exceptional relations with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Setup requests for new parts and part numbers to be loaded along with pricing.
Manage and assist dealer network with Oil & other Lubricant commodities.
Ensure accuracy and rectification of PO’s, supplier invoices and GRV processes and manage correction thereof.
Co-ordinate PDC & Dealers parts collections & distributions nationally
Overall managing of the MDI suggestions to ensure Babcock meets service levels per Paccar targets.
Converting MDI suggested orders into Medius orders and monitoring levels of approvals.
Maintaining >90% MDI service levels to qualify to ensure parts returns to DAF on a consistent bases.
Tracking/monitoring of all Air and Sea Freight Shipments.
Assist dealer network with stock transfers to increase visibility and availability of parts at service points inline with improved EDP system.
Achieve and exceed parts targets per BTS.
Monitor and manage Paccar Parts targets purchases.
Fully support OSS with all admin functions.
Based on sales trends and feedback, identify opportunities to capitalize customer needs and meet these demands.
Supports parts sales actions and promotional activities internal and external.
Assisting dealer network with cross referencing of parts, OE & TRP and assist with generating quotes.
